Toyota/Lexus Pedal Entrapment Claims

On November 25, 2009 Toyota Motor Company announced plans to address Toyota and Lexus vehicles at risk for accidents caused by pedal entrapment. Pedal entrapment occurs when the floor mats, accelerator pedal and sometimes even the brake pedal become entangled causing the vehicle to accelerate uncontrollably. The affected vehicles are:
Pedal entrapment can lead to very serious injury, even death. Pedal entrapment has been involved in both multiple car accidents as well as single vehicle accidents.
