Seroquel, also called Quetiapine, is in a class of drugs called atypical antipsychotics. It is prescribed mainly for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, but is also prescribed for anxiety disorders and insomnia. Seroquel can lead to severe side effects including: Diabetes, NMS, hyper/hypoglycemia, tarditive dyskinesia and pancreas problems.
