Accutane manufactured by Roche Pharmaceuticals – is a us affiliate of Hoffman-La Roche, a global healthcare company based in Basil, Switzerland, is an oral prescription used to treat severe cases of acne. Accutane was approved by the FDA for use in the United States in 1982. Isotretinoin, a form of vitamin A or retinoid, is a chemical contained in Accutane which is used to treat different forms of Cancer. Although, its widespread use with more than 13 million prescriptions, Accutane has been linked to serious side effects and incurable conditions and even death.
